mulberry goes wild..........

I just had to post these shots from the Mulberry AW12 campaign mainly because it reminds me so much of "Where the Wild Things Are" which is one of my favourite books ever.
I also loved the movie, which is odd because I generally love the book and hate the movies. 

Anyway little off topic, back to the monsters, British photographer Tim Walker took these shots in an English forest with model Lindsey Wixson and they are just AMAZING!!!!!

I've always been a fan of Mulberry, their campaigns are generally a little left of centre and I really adore that, but this one has totally sealed the deal for me. I just want to throw out everything
I own and live the rest of my life in their seriously cool world!!

this just in: paisley

Told you I was crushing on paisley, ordered these gorgeous trousers from ASOS last week
(and those super sweet sunnies too)
 plus they were on sale so that makes them extra fantastic!!

They arrived in the post this week and I can't wait to throw them on with some killer heels
and get my paisley on!!

neon pink + blue denim......

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times......every girl (and boy!) needs to own at least ONE (when I say one, I actually mean numerous pairs) pair of ridiculously outrageous shoes. I'm talking about the kind of shoes that make folks stop and stare, point and whisper to each other and perhaps, just perhaps laugh out loud.

Said girl and boy also need to own slouchy jeans, preferably of the ripped variety. 

Then combine the two and you have a winner!!

Asking a die hard shoe lover like myself to name their favourite shoe is like asking a mother to name
her favourite child, we won't admit it, but if you pay attention it's pretty easy to figure out.
I clean these beautiful things everytime I wear them, then I return them to their dustbags
and lovingly place them back in their box away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures........
 

YES they are a firm favourite,
but I'll only admit they're in the top ten......alright the top five!

currently crushing: paisley......

Ok, so prints are big right now, think Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane and on the home front
Lisa Ho and Zimmerman have been rocking some killer prints. Lots of floral, lots of graphic prints.
Which is all lovely, and awesome and amazing and just all round brilliant.......
but I'm seriously having a moment with paisley!!
What can I say, except I'm not the only one, see Etro and Carven, pretty good company I think!!
Anywho in my bid to cover the world in paisley I've gathered the following
to enlighten, inspire and hopefully convince
(that's if you actually needed convincing in the first place!!)

And here are the details......
Etro silk chiffon pussy bow blouse, ASOS backpack (super super in love with this),
Jil Sander lizard paisley print cotton poplin dress,
Jimmy Choo Sloane slippers (these are FIERCE!!),
Topshop hotpants and smack bang in the middle a cute Zara hat.

mustard + black denim.......

No not that kind of mustard, this isn't a post about hot dogs! I'm talking about mustard yellow.

I'll tell you a secret, despite that fact that I live in sunny Australia, I'm a pale lady, pale and freckly!

As such yellow in it's traditional sense just isn't a good colour for me.

And so in steps mustard yellow, a colour I can not only wear but wear well!

The mustard yellow count in my wardrobe now stands at three, 

with the one featured below my most recent acquisition.

Paired my mustard yellow with some cropped black skinnies, leopard flats 

and my super fun 'Owl' tote.

Been working on a few projects this past week, can't wait to show you. Includes a little bit of neon, some faux suede, sequins & camouflage, not all together, though that would certainly be interesting!

Vintage Yves Saint Laurent mens shirt!!

I've been just a little into wearing mens clothing lately. Instead of heading straight to womenswear at my fave shopping haunts, both online and off,
I'm now heading to the menswear, and I'm really loving it!!

Nice relaxed fits, so easy to wear and some seriously awesome prices to boot.

burgundy + polka dots.....

 Told you I was crushing on burgundy!! 

Got myself these skinny leg waxed jeans last week, and they were on sale so even better. 

Snapped these photos a few days ago, super quickly before the rain returned, gotta love winter right.

So polka dots and burgundy, burgundy and polka dots.....we just might be onto 

something here people!!

As soon as I found these jeans, I knew they'd be making repeat appearances, so I hope you like them!

So Burgundy, with a capital B, is the shit right now. And you can totally quote me on that.

Seriously loving the colour right now, love it with blue denim, with black denim, 

in winter with kick ass wool capes and knee high boots, 

in summer with tan flats and crazy big sunglasses.

Shoes, tops, bags, denim, whatever.......it's a winner!!

currently crushing: gloves.....

Maybe it's the ridiculously cold weather I've been living through the last few weeks,

maybe it's my love of leather/suede,

maybe it's because I've been obsessively watching the medieval series Game of Thrones,
maybe it's just cause they're super cool......

Either way I'm getting a little carried away with my crush on gloves

So here we have some kick ass gold babies from Bottega Veneta,
beautiful purple cashmere from YSL, some Bodile driving gloves from Causse,
Leopard & leather (killer combo!!) from Agent Provocateur,
super bright yellow from Forever New (they're called Jenny in case you were wondering)
and finally some more glove goodness from Causse.

Well I don't know about you but all this glove action has me rubbing my hands together......
in excitement!!!

pia + mural......

I promised you pics of Pia in action and here they are!!

Took myself along to a mural in my hometown for these shots, gotta say I love the colours!!

Paired my Pia's with some kick ass leggings I scored on ebay, a denim shirt

and my recently purchased shearling vest.

And finished with a laugh, cause life is too short not too!!

Been such a crazy few weeks for me, super busy with work but did manage to

sneak in a little retail therapy with my sister, so I'm a happy girl!!

I've got another crazy week ahead, strangely I'm looking forward to it,

being busy is just a lot more fun!! And it makes you really appreciate any downtime you do get.
