While mixing medias is certainly fun, who doesn't like wearing their silk with some fur or lace with some wool, the best fun you can have getting dressed is mixing prints.
Plaid and floral anyone?
There are plenty of rules, mix prints in the same colour family, mix small with large, work similiar prints with each other (dots on dots, stripes on stripes etc.), and plenty more, trust me google it. And while they're all valid, I'm still sticking with my fashion should be fun rule. Want to wear your plaid shirt over a floral dress, a polka dot shirt with a floral maxi, a striped bereton with leopard print skinnies, then, as the quite well known sports conglomerate is known to say, just do it!
I've kept things a little low key here, breaking it up with black
skinnies, but frankly, as I said, I think the key to mixing it up is just have fun. I dragged these shoes from the back of my shoe-robe, and I've a sneaking suspicion they are going to be quite popular this spring/summer. Provided I don't have to walk great distances in them, a little on the pinchy side, as vintage is wont to do.
Hope you're having a great week!
